Marine Debris Solutions Day

Held at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, our Marine Debris Solutions Day presented a number of different academic, industry and policy solutions to this growing threat. Topics included plastics in the ocean, sunkel vessels, oil detection and cleanup, and fishing and netting gear solutions.

With each successive annual conference the broad impact that is enabled through the BlueTech Week grows exponentially. This conference provides an efficient, real-time, conduit through which government, industry and academia collaborate to understand and identify current and future societal needs and potential solutions.

BlueTech Investors Day

BlueTech Investors Day 2018 included 22 company pitches, judged by a panel of 4 investors with many others sitting in the audience. Each company was given 6 minutes to pitch followed by 6 minutes for Q&A. A number of our companies have received investment as a direct result of participating in the BlueTech Investors Day.

The quality of the attendees was impressive, the panels and presentations interesting and the availability of people for good dialog was the best I have experienced in a long time. I had a number of effective mini-meetings that could not have happened anywhere else.
